Developing for Pancho can take many forms. Even if you do not write Perl
code, your input can be seriously valuable. Adding support for multiple
vendors takes the effort of many individuals. We need people for the
following tasks:

  1. Find vendor specific SNMP MIB/OID information
  2. Beta testers for new feature enhancements and new vendor support.
  3. Technical writers to document vendor specific instructions.
  4. Developers for vendor specific subroutines.
  5. Subscribers to the pancho-discuss mailing list to offer support
and real-life experience using the tool.

For individuals that would like to write code for the project, Pancho
uses a plugin design for the vendor support. A plugin template is provided
in the Pancho archive, or may be downloaded here. Additional information
for development based on the plugin template may be found here.

We highly encourage authors of plugins to share them with other users
through the Pancho Project website. Please feel free to submit your code
so that it may be made available through our ftp and web sites.
