Question: How can i use my pci network card to set up a wireless network without a router?
my desktop connects to the internet using a dsl modem and i have a pci network adapter card that i want to broadcast a signal so my co-workers can connect to the internet… is that possible without a router?

No. The card you are refering to is a reciever, not a transmitter of a signal.
If it were a transmitter, you could configure your windows based computer as a router bu setting up “Internet Connection Sharing” commonly referred to as ICS. But overall, that’s just a waste of time. Get a router.
You can’t. What do you think wireless routers do? If you could do that, don’t you think the rest of us would do it instead of shelling out hard earned cash for a router?
I don’t believe it’s possible without a wireless router. You can pick up a wireless router that connects to your modem fairly cheap from any computer supply. It’s also easy to set up with the furnished software which comes with the router.
