Netacad instructors have the answers. It is not complicated, all it needs is a little love. Give it sometime, practice, get hooked up into it. Give it a little more attention then it will help. Before I sucked with networking. I even failed my CCNA Exploration 1. Also, cheating wont help you in the end. Trust me, I’ve been there. If you know what you are doing, you wont need those answer keys. It will all be in your mind. Even instructors do not look at does answers coz they also take the labs as a challenge to themselves. And like what they say, no pain no gain.
If your instructor has free consultation hours, then use it. If not, you can always go to a classmate to help you understand. I could also help you learn, just send me an email. Networking is easy than you imagine.

Cisco Career Certifications are IT Professional certifications for Cisco Systems products. The tests are administered by Pearson VUE. There are five levels of certification: Entry, Associate, Professional, Expert, and Architect, as well as seven different paths, Routing & Switching, Design, Network Security, Service Provider, Storage Networking, Voice, and Wireless.
Traditional educational institutions that teach Cisco skills are called “the Cisco Networking Academy”. Cisco Networking Academy Students can request exam vouchers that allow them to take the retired exam for an extended period of time. Cisco courses are also offered at collegiate institutions and training is available from Cisco Learning Partners such as, the Cisco 360 Learning Program for CCIE and the Cisco Learning Network.
All CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, CCVP, CCENT, CCNA Security, CCNA Voice, CCNA Wireless and CCIP certifications are valid for 3 years. All CCIE certifications and Specialist certifications are valid for 2 years. Re-certification requires re-taking the current exam previously passed, or passing a higher level examination.
The lowest level of Cisco’s certification is CCENT (Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician). CCENT covers basic networking knowledge. It is appropriate for entry-level network support positions. CCENT certified people can install, manage, maintain & troubleshoot a small enterprise network, including basic network security. CCENT is the first step towards a CCNA certification.

cisco is a pain in the ass, you’d probably find oracle easier.
Cisco make so much money running expensive courses to learn how to use it. I had to do some simple QoS in cisco as part of my Masters without any training in it, in a group project, its not fun and really temperamental.

To be quite honest I don’t even know what cisco is or what they do. Is it like an industry standard or will they be out of date, or will another company be in favor?
I’m 26, have a bachelors degree in biology and can’t find a job. Hate biology in fact (dont ask why I took it), and want to get into computers.
Is this a field I can get into and eventually master? Do I have to go to school? Because I’m a better self-learner.

Networking is an excellent field if you are technically oriented.
Cisco is the “800 pound gorilla” in networks. They are the principal manufacturer of networking hardware such as routers, switches, VPN concentrators, firewalls, etc. and the software that runs on them.
If you are interested, look into certification training for the Cisco CCNA, or Cisco Certified Network Associate. It’s the first level of Cisco certifications and covers the basics that anyone interested in networking needs to know. There are advanced certifications available as well such as the CCNP or Cisco Certified Network Professional and the “Holy Grail” of networking, the CCIE or Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert. (Think of the CCIE as a PhD equivalent. Virtually all CCIEs earn 6 figure salaries.)
Beyond that, it depends upon what you want to specialize in. Microsoft is a major player in the Network Operating System arena, as is Linux and many flavors of Unix. A Cisco CCNA and a basic education in Microsoft Active Directory will prepare you for a successful career in computer networking.
