A wireless router is a machine that connects to the source of your Network or Internet connection and transmits it to other devices wirelessly.

A Network Adapter is something that can be plugged into a laptop or other device to allow it to connect to the router since it didn’t have the ability before.

A modem, in simple terms, is like Network Adapter that can connect to the Network or interact with it but provides a basis for it, often with a wire.

Ok here goes the over simplified version kay?
1) Modem = internet being sent to your house from internet service provider or ISP. The internet in your house “starts” here
2) wireless router = splitter, this allows you to have Wi-fi and send your internet wirelessly or split your signal between different ethernet cables for wired access.
3)network adapter = receiver. Your computer has a network adapter either a usb one, or a pcie card for desktop or a built in one for laptops. This allows you to receive the internet and use it.
